Officers at the scene found the helicopter, its German captain, and its Austrian co-captain. The prosecutor's office in Nafplio ordered a preliminary inquiry.

During a search of the area, police discovered a black backpack. According to police sources, it contained two small bags with suspected cocaine and cannabis, a nasal spray, medication, rolling papers, and a police ID. The ID belonged to a 39-year-old businessman who reportedly rented the helicopter from a company based in Glyfada. The helicopter had taken off from Keratea, bound for Spetses.

A foreign female friend of the businessman, who was allegedly on board, was not found and has not yet testified. The 39-year-old businessman was sought by authorities and later presented himself at the Spetses police station, where he was arrested for violating drug laws. He was released by order of the prosecutor, and a case file is being prepared.
