Springbok Women cruise past Fijiana XV in Suva

The Springbok Women dominated the Fijiana XV, securing a decisive 55-12 victory at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. The South African team showcased their strength by scoring five tries in the first half, establishing a commanding 27-7 lead by halftime. They continued their offensive pressure in the second half, adding another four tries to their tally.

The Fijiana XV struggled to match the Springbok Women's intensity, managing to cross the try line only twice through Adi Vani Buleki and Varanaise Qoro. Despite the significant loss, newly-appointed Fijiana coach Willie Walker acknowledged the team's effort, stating that South Africa presented a formidable challenge. He noted that the match provided valuable insights into the team's current standing and highlighted specific areas that require improvement for their upcoming matches.

The [Fijiana players] put up a great fight. South Africa were always going to be a tough ask for us today (Saturday). But what it does is gives us a guage are crruently and areas that we need to be better at for next week.
