Stade Tunisien squad review continues with loss to Olympique Akbou

Stade Tunisien began a series of friendly matches in Aïn Draham with a squad review against Olympique Akbou, ultimately losing 3-1.

The team, also known as the Bardolais, faced the Algerian club Olympique Akbou, which finished fifth in the Algerian league last season. This match provided significant insights for coach Tozé Marreco as he assessed his players. Most of the new recruits received playing time during the game.

In the first half, forward Fakhreddine Ben Youssef, midfielder Zakaria Ayeb (a transfer from EST), and Senegalese midfielder Mame Salio Thioune were starters. In the second half, winger Malek Chouikh, defender Raed Derbali, and Beninese striker Bienvenu Vigninou also entered the field.

Young players like winger Hamza Souissi, attacking midfielder Hazem Khemiri (on loan from Tersana), and defender Aziz Knani also gained valuable experience in the second half. Established players such as winger Amine Khemissi, midfielder Skander Sghaier, defender Mounir Jelassi, Senegalese midfielder Boubaker Camara, and forward Youssef Dhaflaoui started the match. Reserves like fullbacks Hedi Khalfa and Aziz Saihi, midfielder Rafeddine Riahi, winger Yussuf Touré, midfielder Salifu Tapsoba, and midfielder Wael Ouerghemmi played in the second half.

Stade Tunisien will continue their preparation with another friendly against CRB today, followed by a match against JS Kabylie next Tuesday. The club also announced the signing of winger Baraket Hmidi.
