State-Federal ties to be further strengthened, says Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar

Datuk Ismail Lasim, the new Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, has pledged to fortify the harmonious relationship between the state's royal institution, the state government, and the federal administration. He stressed that this strengthened bond is crucial for effectively carrying out the state's administrative duties.

I will lead the state government's administration by prioritizing the principles of trust, integrity, efficiency, and transparency.

In his address during the swearing-in ceremony at Istana Besar Seri Menanti, Ismail Lasim highlighted his commitment to governing with a spirit of consensus and togetherness. He stated his intention to actively listen to diverse viewpoints and embrace constructive criticism, all aimed at securing the state's long-term interests and ensuring the well-being of future generations.

Ismail Lasim affirmed that his administration will be guided by the principles of trust, integrity, efficiency, and transparency. He also acknowledged the indispensable role of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, in providing guidance and support for the successful execution of his duties.

The trust placed in me cannot be carried out perfectly without the guidance, advice, prayers, and blessings of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.

The new Menteri Besar also expressed gratitude to the people of Negeri Sembilan for entrusting the Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition with a significant mandate in the recent state election. He viewed this trust not merely as an honor but as a demand to prove the government's commitment to diligent work, ensuring that responsibilities are carried out fairly, transparently, and effectively.
