Ismail Vows to Lead Negeri Sembilan with Full Trust and Responsibility

Datuk Ismail Lasim, the newly appointed State Assemblyman for Juasseh, has described his elevation to Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan as a profound responsibility that demands utmost sincerity, loyalty, honesty, wisdom, and dedication. He emphasized that this appointment is not a personal honor to be proud of, but a sacred duty to be fulfilled for the sake of religion, race, the state, and all its citizens.

This appointment is a great and meaningful trust. I am deeply aware that this trust is not an honor to be proud of, but a responsibility that must be carried out with sincerity, loyalty, honesty, wisdom, and a high sense of responsibility for the sake of religion, race, the state, and all the people of Negeri Sembilan.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony before the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, Ismail expressed his deep humility and gratitude for the trust placed in him. He assured that he and his state leadership team would strive to be a government that listens, serves, and works diligently for the well-being and advancement of Negeri Sembilan.

Ismail also reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the Yang di-Pertuan Besar and the institution of the constitutional monarchy. He highlighted the monarchy's role as a symbol of sovereignty, unity, stability, and prosperity for the state. He pledged to uphold the Sultan's authority, preserve the dignity of the royal institution, and defend the principles of the Federal Constitution and the Negeri Sembilan State Constitution of 1959.

I, along with the entire state government leadership, will strive to be a government that listens, serves, and works for the welfare of the people and the progress of Negeri Sembilan.

He further committed to always heed the Sultan's decrees, advice, and guidance in all administrative matters, aligning with the spirit of constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy. Ismail concluded by acknowledging that leadership carries accountability, and every responsibility must be executed to the best of one's ability.
