Storm Alert Issued for Four Paraguayan Regions Tonight

Paraguay's National Directorate of Meteorology has issued a severe weather alert for four departments as storm cells continue to develop. The warning, issued before 6 p.m. on July 11, 2026, covers parts of the Northern Chaco and Northern Paraneña regions.

The storms carry the potential for severe weather phenomena, including moderate to heavy thunderstorms with electrical activity. Residents can also expect moderate to strong wind gusts and the occasional risk of hail. The affected departments are Concepción, Amambay (central and northern areas), Presidente Hayes (northeastern areas), and Alto Paraguay.

Looking ahead to Sunday, the weather is expected to be cool in the early morning hours, warming up in the afternoon in some areas. Minimum temperatures are forecast between 10-15°C in the Oriental Region and 14-19°C in the Occidental Region. Maximum temperatures nationwide are predicted to range from 17-24°C. Winds will blow from the south, and light rain may persist in the northeastern parts of both regions.
