Stranger enters home, abducts 10-year-old girl in Dak Lak; victim suffers psychological trauma

A 10-year-old girl in Vietnam's Dak Lak province is experiencing severe psychological distress and unable to eat following a terrifying incident where a stranger broke into her home and abducted her. The girl is receiving support from her family as authorities intensify their search for the suspect.

The incident occurred on July 30 when a man entered the family's home in Ea Kao ward. He approached the girl, asked if anyone else was home, and then carried her away. The girl's cries alerted her family, prompting the suspect to flee into a nearby coffee plantation.

Police have released a description of the suspect: a thin man, approximately 40-45 years old, wearing a light blue long-sleeved shirt, shorts, a black baseball cap, and a black waist bag. He was barefoot and reportedly carried an insect spray bottle and a knife. He is believed to have fled on an old Honda Dream motorcycle.

Authorities are urging the public to report any sightings of the individual or any relevant information to aid the investigation. They also advise residents to remain vigilant, closely supervise children, and avoid sharing unverified information. The police have assured that any information provided by the public will be kept confidential.
