Student charged with outraging modesty in car

A university student faces charges of outraging a woman's modesty after allegedly forcing her to perform sexual stimulation in a car. Muhammad Amir Nabil Salehuddin, 24, pleaded not guilty at the Alor Gajah Magistrate's Court.

The indictment states that the accused compelled a 20-year-old woman to engage in manual sexual stimulation inside a vehicle. The alleged incident occurred around 1:13 a.m. on June 4 near the Lebuh Sungai Udang–Paya Rumput–Ayer Keroh bridge in the Alor Gajah district.

He is accused of outraging the modesty of a 20-year-old girl by ordering her to perform sexual stimulation using her hands while in a car.

This offense falls under Section 509 of the Penal Code, which carries a penalty of up to five years in prison, a fine, or both upon conviction. The prosecution had initially proposed bail at RM10,000 with one surety, along with conditions that the accused not contact the victim and report to a nearby police station.

However, the defense counsel argued for a reduced bail of RM2,000, citing the accused's status as a student and his mother's retired government servant status. The court ultimately set bail at RM4,600 with one surety, imposing the condition that the accused must not harass the victim. The case has been adjourned for mention on July 15.
