Summer Scout Camp launched in Dhofar

The Summer Scout Camp for the Senior Scout Phase has officially commenced in Dhofar Governorate, Oman, under the theme "Our Future Lies in Our Values." The event, organized by the Ministry of Education, will run until August 17, 2026, bringing together approximately 300 scouts and leaders from across the Sultanate.

The camp aims to reinforce humanitarian values, harness youth energies for talent development, and prepare a generation skilled in innovation, self-reliance, and time management. Participants will engage in a diverse program integrating practical, applied, and theoretical dimensions through workshops and scouting activities.

Key sessions will cover artificial intelligence, Omani identity, e-commerce skills, and risk management. Seminars will also address volunteerism's community impact, road safety, and teamwork. The camp incorporates purposeful tourism and recreational activities to instill positive energy and familiarize scouts with Dhofar's natural assets and tourist attractions.
