Superstar Zidane Appointed New France Football Coach

Zinédine Zidane has officially taken the helm as the new head coach of the French national football team, a move long anticipated and now confirmed by the French Football Federation (FFF).

The legendary former player has signed a contract extending to 2030, aiming to lead the 'Équipe Tricolore' to success in the 2028 European Championship and the 2030 World Cup. Zidane expressed his honor and responsibility in a statement, calling the national team position "nothing greater than the French national team."

He replaces Didier Deschamps, who departs after an extensive 14-year period marked by significant achievements, including the 2018 World Cup title, but ultimately ending without a final triumph in his last tournament. Deschamps' era concluded with a semi-final loss to Spain and a third-place finish after a match against England.

Zidane brings a formidable coaching resume from his time at Real Madrid, where he secured three Champions League titles and two La Liga crowns between 2016-2018 and 2019-2021. As a player, he was instrumental in France's 1998 World Cup and 2000 European Championship victories.
