Suspect in influencer's murder arrested in Puebla; attacker killed, agent injured

Federal authorities have apprehended Jesús Alberto "N" in Puebla, who is allegedly one of two individuals responsible for the shooting death of influencer César Daniel Nolazco Gastélum. The fatal incident occurred on August 4 in Culiacán, Sinaloa.

The arrest operation, however, was not without incident. Omar García Harfuch, head of the Secretariat of Public Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), reported that agents involved in the operation were attacked by three armed individuals. Responding to the aggression, the officers acted with "valor and determination" to ensure the safety of the rest of the operational convoy.

During the confrontation, one of the assailants was killed, and two others were detained, including Jesús Alberto "N". The authorities also secured three firearms, ammunition, and several vehicles at the scene. Harfuch extended recognition to the investigation officers for their bravery, discipline, and commitment, and thanked the Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR), the National Guard (GN), the Puebla State Attorney General's Office, and Governor Armenta for their support.

This development follows a pursuit of armed individuals that reportedly led to a confrontation in San Andrés Cholula, Puebla, with initial reports indicating one death and two arrests. The investigation into the influencer's murder and the subsequent events in Puebla is ongoing.
