The Sonora State Attorney General's Office reported that state elements detected the suspect carrying a radio communication device on July 30, 2026. Investigations suggest he used this equipment to transmit the location of police units and receive information regarding officers' movements. This allegedly allowed individuals to evade police actions and obstruct law enforcement operations.

During a court hearing, the judge deemed the arrest legal. The prosecution then formally charged the suspect, presenting evidence that led the court to order his pre-trial detention.
