Suspected Tren de Aragua Member "El Dientes de Oro" Arrested in Mexico City

Authorities in Mexico City have arrested a Venezuelan national, identified as Yosthan, also known as "El Dientes de Oro," who is suspected of being a member of the transnational criminal organization Tren de Aragua. The arrest took place in the Villa de Aragón neighborhood within the Gustavo A. Madero delegation during a routine patrol.

During the apprehension, police officers observed the suspect, aged 36, in a red truck manipulating an object resembling a firearm. A subsequent search led to the seizure of a short firearm with a loaded magazine and five cartridges, along with 52 doses of suspected marijuana and 96 doses of suspected methamphetamine, as well as cash. The suspect has been handed over to the Public Ministry for legal proceedings.

Intelligence gathered by the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City suggests that "El Dientes de Oro" is linked to a South American criminal group involved in drug dealing, extortion via "gota a gota" (payday loan) schemes, and homicides in the Gustavo A. Madero area. Further investigations indicate potential collaboration with members of La Unión Tepito in the sexual exploitation of women in the Sullivan area.
