Sutrimo Death Case Enters New Phase: Exhumation and Probe into Febrio Adiono

The family of Sutrimo, who reportedly died under suspicious circumstances, has officially filed a report with the Banyumas Police. Sutrimo's brother, Suting, and his son, Abhi, who hold power of attorney for Sutrimo's heirs, lodged the complaint on Saturday evening.

Initially, the family claimed no knowledge of any irregularities surrounding Sutrimo's death. However, conflicting media reports prompted them to seek clarity on the actual events. "Because of the news, because the news is conflicting, all sorts of things," said the family's spokesperson. "The family just wants legal certainty regarding Sutrimo's death. That's all," Abhi added.

The family also addressed accusations that they had not reported the matter because they received a substantial amount of money. "Moreover, forgive me, there are accusations that the family did not report because they received a billion rupiah. This means the family also wants to know, wants to confirm the legal certainty, whether it was a natural death or not. That's all," the spokesperson explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, confirmed that investigators are preparing for the exhumation of Sutrimo's body. "Yes, that's correct and it is being prepared," Budi stated on Sunday. The police will also investigate the identity of Febrio Adiono, an administrative staffer at the Attorney General's Office, who was reportedly one of the individuals who accompanied Sutrimo's body. "We will investigate (whether Febrio is an employee of the Attorney General's Office)," Budi said. The Attorney General's Office confirmed Febrio is an employee but not a prosecutor, and that he previously served as Febrie Adriansyah's aide before becoming a regular administrative staffer after Febrie was implicated in a corruption case.
