Swedbank finances 10.15 million euro construction of Šiauliai police headquarters

Swedbank has provided a 10.15 million euro loan for the construction of a new police headquarters in Šiauliai, Lithuania. The project utilizes a public-private partnership model, encompassing the design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of the facility.

Arvydas Račkus, head of Swedbank's Real Estate and Energy client department, stated that the bank's goal is to ensure such projects have a strong financial foundation and contribute to creating modern spaces that enhance public safety and public service delivery. The new headquarters is designed to consolidate all police units operating in Šiauliai, providing a workspace for over 200 employees. Additionally, it will include a 235-space parking lot equipped with electric vehicle charging stations and dedicated parking for bicycles and scooters.

Marius Jablonskas, chief of the Šiauliai County Main Police Commissariat, emphasized that the construction of the new building represents a significant step in strengthening the region's police infrastructure. The project is being implemented in collaboration between the Police Department and private partners, with the public-private partnership agreement set to last for 15 years.
