Malaysian bowler Nur Syazwani Sahar demonstrated remarkable mental strength to clinch the Hong Kong Open Masters title, showcasing her maturity after an initial setback. Despite losing the first game, Syazwani regrouped to defeat Macau's Wong Son Ian in the deciding game, securing the women's Masters championship.

The match saw Syazwani trailing after Wong secured the first game 209-187. However, Syazwani responded with a strong performance, winning the second game 223-211 to claim the title. This ability to manage pressure in a difficult situation highlighted her resilience.
