Tainan Xinshi Recycling Plant Fire Extinguished After Over 11 Hours

A fire erupted at a recycling plant in Tainan's Xinshi District on the morning of August 2, sending thick smoke into the air. Firefighters were dispatched immediately to the scene, where they found the iron and RC structure building, along with a large quantity of furniture and aluminum building materials, fully engulfed in flames.

The Tainan City Fire Bureau received the report at 9:57 AM. In response, they deployed 27 vehicles, 62 firefighters, and 11 volunteer firefighters. The operation was further supported by three firefighting robots and one drone, while the Tainan City Public Works Bureau utilized excavators for containment efforts.

Firefighters managed to control the blaze by 11:18 AM, but the fire persisted for over 11 hours. The fire was finally extinguished at 9:19 PM. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported as a result of the incident.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and is pending clarification.
