Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an to Cooperate with Network Speed Reduction Drill Amid Regional Questions

Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an affirmed that the city will comply with a central government "urban resilience drill" that incorporates a network speed reduction exercise. This initiative is part of a broader effort to bolster the capital's readiness for disasters.

Chiang's statement comes amid questions raised by Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen regarding the drill's scope. Lu questioned the rationale behind excluding southern regions from the exercise, highlighting a potential divergence in regional perspectives on the drill's implementation.
