Taiwan High Speed Rail launches commemorative merchandise for new N700ST train

Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) is set to welcome its new N700ST generation train, which will depart from Japan on July 30th and arrive in Taiwan in August. To commemorate this milestone, THSR is launching an extensive collection of limited-edition merchandise.

The new N700ST train, representing a new era for the high-speed rail service, will be celebrated through a variety of unique items. These include bucket hats crafted using the same upholstery fabric as the N700ST's business or standard carriages, blended with twill fabric for a modern aesthetic. Local mothers from community workshops have sewn these hats, adding a touch of local craftsmanship.

Further adding to the collection are crescent bags that creatively reinterpret classic designs using contrasting colors and the N700ST's seat fabrics. The standard carriage fabric is paired with THSR's corporate orange for a vibrant look, while the business carriage fabric is matched with a khaki strap for an elegant feel. Limited edition collaborations are also a highlight, featuring specially designed Taiwan Beer cans resembling the new train model and set against a backdrop of Taiwan's Yushan mountain.

Culinary delights include a gift box from Jiu Zhen Nan, featuring traditional Han-bing pastries uniquely shaped like the N700ST train. These pastries come in classic pineapple and red bean flavors. Additionally, THSR has partnered with TIWONDER, a Taiwanese pure titanium craft brand, to produce commemorative thermos cups in 'secret black' and 'titanium raw gray' finishes, laser-engraved with the N700ST design. Model train replicas, including a four-car set and a pull-back car, will also be released.
