Taiwan High Speed Rail launches special train for SEMICON Taiwan 2026

Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) is celebrating the upcoming SEMICON Taiwan 2026 international semiconductor exhibition with a specially designed themed train and updated headrests across its entire fleet. The collaboration with SEMI, the international semiconductor industry association, aims to showcase Taiwan's significant position in the global technology landscape.

The themed train and unique headrests will be featured on all 34 THSR train sets starting immediately and will be visible throughout the exhibition period. This initiative seeks to raise awareness of SEMICON Taiwan and underscore the island's vital contribution to the semiconductor industry's worldwide development.

To facilitate travel for the expected 100,000 international professionals attending the exhibition, THSR is enhancing its services. From August 31 to September 4, 32 trains will include additional free-seating carriages, bringing the total to nine per train on some services. This expansion will provide 796 train services and 2,869 free-seating carriages to accommodate visitors traveling between the exhibition venue and various science parks.

Furthermore, THSR is offering special benefits to forum participants, including two 5% discount e-coupons for high-speed rail tickets. The exhibition itself is expected to feature 1,300 exhibitors and 4,300 booths, with international forums commencing on August 31 and the main exhibition running from September 2 to 4. THSR's role as an official strategic partner highlights its contribution to the industry's growth, which has seen a significant increase in output value since the high-speed rail's inception.
