Taiwan: Kaohsiung Light Rail to halt for 50 minutes during city resilience drill

The Kaohsiung Light Rail system in Taiwan will halt operations for 50 minutes on the morning of August 7th as part of a city resilience drill. The temporary suspension is scheduled to occur between 9:55 AM and 10:45 AM.

During this period, passengers and vehicles will be required to follow the guidance of police and civil defense personnel for evacuation and shelter procedures. The drill aims to test and enhance the city's preparedness for potential emergencies.

Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation, which operates the light rail, has announced the specific stations where trains will be stopped in both directions. For the outbound direction, trains will halt at C1 Lizinei, C6 Economic and Trade Park, C13 Pier-2 Art Center, C19 Makadao, C25 Shinsang Elementary School, and C31 Shengkung Hospital. In the inbound direction, stops will be at C1 Lizinei, C8 Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, C15 Shoushan Park, C21 Museum of Fine Arts, C27 Wanzinei (Dashun Ding Shan), and C32 Kaohsiung Park.
