These criminals are leveraging artificial intelligence, including deepfake technology, to create convincing videos and images that promote fraudulent investment schemes and solicit participation in illicit investment groups.

The Taiwan Stock Exchange has issued a stern warning, clarifying that Chairman Lin Hsiu-ming does not operate any personal investment groups or maintain social media accounts for investment recruitment. The exchange emphasizes that neither it nor its employees will recommend individual stocks, guarantee profits, or solicit personal or financial information through social media or communication apps.

To combat these deceptive practices, the Taiwan Stock Exchange encourages the public to exercise caution and verify any investment-related information. Individuals with doubts can contact the exchange's investor service center or utilize its feedback channel. Suspected fraudulent activities should be reported to the police's 165 anti-fraud hotline or local law enforcement agencies to help prevent financial losses and protect public assets.
