Taiwan U16 Baseball Team Dominates Philippines 13-0, Wins Third Straight

Taiwan's U16 baseball team achieved a decisive 13-0 victory over the Philippines in their third preliminary round game of the 2026 Babe Ruth League U16 World Championship. The game concluded early in the fifth inning due to the mercy rule, marking Taiwan's third consecutive win in the tournament.

Pitcher Chen Wei-lun was instrumental in the shutout, delivering a stellar performance by pitching four scoreless innings. He was subsequently named the Most Valuable Player for his contribution. The Taiwanese offense also proved formidable, scoring four runs in the first inning, adding two more in the second, and a commanding seven runs in the fourth inning. This dominant display, coupled with defensive errors from the Philippine team, allowed Taiwan to extend its lead significantly throughout the game.
