Taiwanese band Pxshxni to perform at Kaohsiung Music Center after fan campaign

Taiwanese rock band Pxshxni (拍謝少年) is set to perform a highly anticipated concert at the Kaohsiung Music Center on October 10. The show, dubbed 'Noise Zone,' is a featured event within the '2026 Takao Rock Festival: Hi-ing 5' and promises to deliver the band's signature powerful Taiwanese rock sound.

The concert comes after Pxshxni's "Live Processing" series of self-organized events sold out rapidly for 2025. The demand for a Kaohsiung performance was amplified by dedicated fans who created a massive red banner reading "Kaohsiung Music Center should not have not held this." This banner, a symbol of fan advocacy, traveled with the band to various performances, urging them to bring their unique "sea flavor" of Taiwanese rock back to Kaohsiung's harbor.

Formed in 2006, Pxshxni is known for its commitment to creating music entirely in the Taiwanese Hokkien language. The trio, consisting of guitarist Winnie, bassist Jiang Jiang, and drummer Zong Han, prioritizes capturing the raw energy of live rock performances in their arrangements. Their dedication to using Taiwanese Hokkien as their primary creative language sets them apart in Taiwan's independent music scene.

To promote the upcoming concert, the band members adopted a "Taiwanese biker gang" aesthetic for a promotional video filmed at the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung. They vowed to maximize the volume of their music at the Kaohsiung Music Center, transforming the art district into a "Noise Zone." Tickets for the 'Noise Zone' concert are scheduled to go on sale on July 27 at 2 p.m. via KKTIX.
