Tallinn schools not all ready for academic year start amid construction

Tallinn faces a challenging start to the academic year, as not all of its schools will be fully prepared by the time classes resume. The Estonian capital is currently undertaking significant construction and renovation work on eleven major educational facilities.

Despite the extensive work, Andrei Kante, Tallinn's deputy mayor for education, expressed optimism. He stated that the majority of the construction projects are proceeding according to schedule. This suggests that while some disruptions are inevitable, the city is working to minimize delays and ensure the facilities are completed as efficiently as possible.

The ongoing projects aim to improve the educational infrastructure within Tallinn, providing better learning environments for students.
