Tamara Zidanšek Achieves Great Success in Palermo

Slovenian tennis player Tamara Zidanšek has achieved a significant success in Palermo, winning the WTA 125 doubles tournament alongside her Russian partner, Anastasija Tihonova. The pair secured the title by defeating the American-Rasheeda McAdoo and Hungarian-Adrienn Nagy duo in the final.

The final match, which lasted 78 minutes, saw Zidanšek and Tihonova win with a score of 6-4, 6-4. Although the American-Hungarian pair initially took a 2-0 lead, Zidanšek and Tihonova quickly equalized. The decisive break came in the seventh game of the first set, where the Slovenian-Russian team managed to break their opponents' serve for the second time.

In the second set, the pair again needed two breaks to secure the victory, with the seventh game proving crucial once more. This win marks a dominant performance for Zidanšek and Tihonova, as they only dropped one set throughout the entire tournament. On their path to the final, they also defeated the second-seeded pair, Lucija Čirić Bagarić of Croatia and Angelica Moratelli of Italy.
