Tamaulipas Government Presents Puerto del Norte Project to Business Leaders to Attract Investment

Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal has presented the "Puerto del Norte" project to business organizations, aiming to draw investment to the state. The initiative is designed to capitalize on the U.S. border and enhance Tamaulipas's connections to global markets.

During a presentation in Matamoros, Villarreal explained the project's potential. The state's Secretary of Economy, Ninfa Cantú, emphasized that Puerto del Norte is a key component of the government's strategy to promote investment, competitiveness, and economic expansion.

Cantú noted that the Port of Altura de Matamoros began operations in August of the previous year, signaling a new phase for the region's logistical and economic development. Gustavo Guzmán Fernández, the project's director, detailed the infrastructure advancements and upcoming plans.

The event was attended by national leaders from Coparmex, Canacintra, and Canacar, underscoring the broad business interest in the project. The initiative seeks to foster economic growth and strengthen Tamaulipas's position in international trade.
