Tanzania's Ruling Party Youth Wing Backs Expulsion of Former VP, Congratulates New One

The National Council of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party's youth wing has officially endorsed the expulsion of former Vice President Dk Emmanuel Nchimbi. The council declared its support for the National Executive Committee's decision, stating it serves the broader interests of the party.

The main council congratulates the National Executive Committee's decisions and states that the decision serves the broad interests of our party and has considered the CCM constitution, rules, traditions, and customs of our party.

In addition to backing Nchimbi's expulsion, the youth wing extended congratulations to Deogratius Ndejembi. Ndejembi was recently nominated by President Samia Suluhu Hassan for the position of Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania and subsequently confirmed by the Parliament. The youth wing expressed well wishes for Ndejembi in his new role, emphasizing confidence in his ability to serve the nation's development.

Speaking at the national parents' week event in Mwanza, CCM's Deputy Secretary-General for Mainland Tanzania, Aggrey Mwanri, stressed the importance of unity and adherence to party decisions. He urged all party wings to emulate the youth wing's support for the party chairman, highlighting that maintaining a consistent stance is crucial for earning respect within the party and among the public.

Mwanri elaborated that a person's true character and commitment are often revealed under pressure. He stated that evaluating individuals based on their words and actions when facing challenges is key to understanding their resolve. This emphasis on steadfastness underscores the party's expectation for loyalty and unwavering support from its members.
