Taoyuan City Council Gives NT$770,000 in Mid-Autumn Festival Support to Nine Military Units

Taoyuan City Council presented NT$770,000 in Mid-Autumn Festival support funds to nine military and security units stationed in the city.

Council Speaker Chiu Yi-sheng represented the council at the ceremony and thanked service members for carrying long-term national defense and readiness responsibilities. He also recognized their work in disaster rescue, local support and public service.

Representatives attended from the Army Sixth Corps Command, Army Special Forces Command, Army Aviation and Special Forces Command’s 601st Brigade, the Army Missile and Electro-Optical Base Service Factory, the Army Infantry 109th Brigade, the Army 53rd Engineer Group, the Taoyuan Military Police Unit, the Coast Guard Administration’s Northern Branch and the Taoyuan work group of the Ministry of National Defense’s Military Security Bureau.

Chiu said Taoyuan serves as an important military center in northern Taiwan and that the units stationed there help maintain local stability beyond their defense duties. Tang Tsai-pin, head of the Taoyuan Military Service Station, thanked the council for its continued support and said the gesture gave service members a sense of recognition and care from the local community.
