Taraba Igbo community endorses Gov. Kefas for second term

The Igbo Community Association (ICA) in Jalingo has officially endorsed Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, for a second term, signaling strong support ahead of the 2027 governorship election. The endorsement was formally conveyed through a letter presented to the governor's re-election campaign council.

Deacon Michael C. Adili, President-General of the ICA, commended Governor Kefas's administration for significant strides in enhancing security, advancing education, and developing infrastructure across the state. He highlighted that improved security has fostered a more favorable environment for both businesses and residents. "Before you took over the leadership of this state, many residents faced serious security challenges. We have observed improvements in the security situation under your administration," Adili stated.

The association also lauded the state's free education policy, noting its positive impact on easing financial burdens for parents and guardians. Furthermore, ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects in Jalingo and other areas were praised for boosting transportation and economic activities. The ICA committed to mobilizing its members to participate in the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) registration and actively support the governor's re-election campaign.

Responding to the endorsement, Hon. Danladi Baido, Director-General of the Dr. Agbu Kefas Re-election Campaign Council, expressed gratitude for the association's support. Baido reaffirmed the administration's dedication to inclusive governance and continued development throughout Taraba State.
