Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Taraba State, has declared his intention to ensure the state's support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Bwacha, a former Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, expressed strong confidence that Tinubu is the ideal leader for Nigeria's sustainable development.

Speaking in Jalingo after unveiling Engr. Aminu Zakari as his running mate, Bwacha attributed his unwavering support for President Tinubu to the administration's decisive actions on national security challenges, economic reforms, and federal infrastructure initiatives across the country. He specifically commended the Federal Government's intelligence partnerships with international allies, including the United States, in addressing security threats posed by non-state actors.

However, Bwacha also voiced concerns regarding Taraba State's economic health. He alleged that the state's debt profile has significantly increased despite consistent revenue inflows from the Federal Government. Challenging the state government, he dared them to identify any capital project executed in the last three years valued at N10 billion, reiterating his pledge to withdraw from the governorship race if such a project could be presented.
