Tay Ninh Begins Provincial Road 826C Upgrade to Ease Traffic Congestion

Tay Ninh province has officially commenced the upgrade and expansion of Provincial Road 826C in Tan Tap commune, a project anticipated to resolve a persistent traffic bottleneck and enhance safety for the thousands who use the route daily.

The ceremony for the project, which will improve the section from the Dong Thanh intersection to the commune's Party Committee headquarters, was held on July 11. This key transportation initiative is expected to eliminate the "bottleneck" that has long plagued the area, facilitating smoother and safer passage for residents, workers commuting to industrial zones, and students attending school.

Provincial Road 826C serves as a vital artery connecting Tan Tap commune with other areas and ultimately leading towards Ho Chi Minh City. However, the existing 5.4-kilometer stretch through Tan Lap commune is narrow, with asphalt surfaces ranging from 3.5 to 4.5 meters wide and minimal shoulders. This inadequacy poses a daily challenge for the thousands of motorcycles, cars, and trucks that traverse the road.

The expansion project involves widening the roadbed to 10 meters, with a finished asphalt surface of 8 meters, divided equally on both sides. The investment for this phase amounts to nearly 19 billion Vietnamese dong, funded by the commune's budget and other legal sources. The construction, managed by the Tan Tap Commune Project Management Board and undertaken by Hoang Gia Investment and Development Construction Joint Stock Company, is expected to take 240 days. Additionally, the commune is seeking approximately 152 billion Vietnamese dong to fully upgrade the remaining 5.464 kilometers of Provincial Road 826C and construct the Ong Hieu Bridge.
