Techo 2026: More than 8,000 volunteers join the final day of Paraguay’s national collection

About 8,400 volunteers are taking to the streets across Paraguay for the final day of Techo Paraguay’s 2026 national collection. The campaign is operating at 211 collection points in Asunción, Central, Alto Paraná, Caaguazú, Itapúa and Concepción.

Techo Paraguay has set a target of 1.55 billion guaraníes. The money is intended to reach more than 500 families this year through emergency housing and habitat solutions in informal settlements. The organization is inviting people to donate, volunteer or support the campaign as partner companies. It suggests a base personal contribution of 10,000 guaraníes.

The campaign centers on the premise that no one should have to live on a dirt floor. Techo Paraguay says decent flooring can have an immediate effect on family health. Its institutional report, “Beyond a Roof,” found that 42% of families living in informal settlements had respiratory problems before receiving an emergency home, while 38% frequently suffered coughing and congestion.

In Distrito Perseverancia, visitors can see a model home installed at Parque Elevado. The display is intended to show how public donations become housing responses for vulnerable communities.
