Teenager found dangling from roof rescued by police in Romania

Panic gripped onlookers in Târgu-Jiu, Romania, as a 14-year-old boy was spotted perched on the edge of a Culture House roof, his legs dangling dozens of meters above the ground. The dangerous position led witnesses to fear an imminent tragedy.

Concerned citizens immediately contacted emergency services. Police arrived at the scene and engaged the teenager in a dialogue, ultimately persuading him to come down safely. Fortunately, the intervention concluded without incident, and the boy was unharmed.

After being brought down, the minor was taken to the police station with his parents. Investigations revealed the boy should have been in school at the time of the incident, prompting authorities to inform the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances that led the boy to the roof and if further protective measures are needed.
