The Nokia 3310 turns 26, and Lithuania’s network still has the legendary phone

The Nokia 3310, one of the best-known mobile phones ever made, is still operating on Lithuania’s mobile network 26 years after its launch.

The phone was presented to the world on Sept. 1, two decades ago, before most of today’s mobile technology existed. Although the technology industry has changed dramatically since then, the model has retained a small presence in Lithuania.

Bite Lietuva says several first-generation Nokia 3310 phones remain actively used on its network. Including later versions of the model, more than 100 Nokia 3310 devices are still operating.
