The popular psychological reality show "The Traitors Ireland" returns for its second season on August 30, promising another high-stakes game of deception and intrigue from the historic Slane Castle. Hosted once again by Derry Girls star Siobhán McSweeney, the series will introduce a fresh group of contestants vying for a cash prize of up to €50,000.

The format pits strangers against each other, with a select few secretly designated as "Traitors" tasked with eliminating the "Faithfuls" without being discovered. The game intensifies as alliances are tested, suspicions run high, and "murders" in the dead of night lead to heated discussions and banishments at the Round Table. The show's debut last August proved a significant ratings success for RTÉ, launching breakout stars like retired prison officer Paudie Moloney.
