Nigerian singer Adebayo Adeleke, known as B-Red, stated that his father, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, would bring about substantial changes in Nigeria if he were to become President. This sentiment was shared in a 2023 interview on the Echoroom podcast, which recently resurfaced on social media.

The resurfaced comments come shortly after Governor Adeleke secured a second term in office, winning the Osun State governorship election on August 15, 2026, under the Accord Party. He defeated the All Progressives Congress candidate by a significant margin.

In the interview, B-Red admitted he did not want his father to pursue the presidency, citing the potential stress it could impose on the family. "I don’t want no stress on me, your daddy, I beg. Your father is the president; he did not do this," he said, expressing a personal desire to avoid the pressures associated with such a high office.
