Three arrested and jailed for attempted homicide of youth in Pudahuel

Three suspects have been ordered into pre-trial detention for their alleged roles in a brutal attack that left a 17-year-old boy critically injured in Pudahuel, Chile. The incident, which occurred on August 21, involved assailants using bladed weapons and an axe.

According to the investigation, the victim was walking home with his 15-year-old girlfriend when they were confronted by three men and a woman. The victim's girlfriend's father attempted to intervene but was also attacked. The victim sustained severe cuts and blows, leaving him in a life-threatening condition at San Juan de Dios Hospital.

Following the attack, Carabineros reviewed security camera footage and executed search warrants at residences linked to the investigation. This led to the arrest of four adults. Three are directly accused of frustrated homicide, while the fourth was apprehended for violating arms control laws.

During the court hearing, the prosecutor detailed the events, emphasizing the severity of the injuries inflicted upon the victim. The three suspects accused of the attack were remanded in custody for the 90-day investigation period. The fourth individual faces a monthly signature requirement as a precautionary measure.

The events were perpetrated on Friday night, and according to what was established by OS-9 of Carabineros, these subjects allegedly arrived at a sector of the commune of Pudahuel, a place where they attacked the victim with bladed weapons and an axe, with which they inflicted various blows and cuts on the body that currently keep him in a life-threatening condition at the San Juan de Dios Hospital.
