Three Arrested in An Giang Drug Trafficking Case as Police Seize Gun and 12 Bullets

Police in Vietnam’s An Giang province arrested three suspects accused of illegally trafficking and possessing drugs, seizing a handgun and 12 bullets in the case.

The suspects were identified as Huynh Van Hanh, 26, Vo Van Thuan, 35, and Bui Van Phuoc, 24. All are from An Giang province. Police said they detained Thuan and found Phuoc at a house Thuan had rented in Vinh Trach commune.

Officers seized several plastic bags containing more than 5.2 grams of drugs, along with drug-use equipment. Thuan later told investigators that he had bought the drugs from Hanh for personal use and resale to drug users.

Police arrested Hanh on the morning of Sept. 4 at a roadside coffee shop in Long Xuyen ward. A search of his car found nearly 300 grams of drugs, a handgun, 12 bullets and other related items. An Giang provincial police said they were continuing to investigate and handle the case under the law.
