Three Danes Selected for Tour de France by Uno-X Team

The Norwegian cycling team Uno-X has announced its roster for the upcoming Tour de France, featuring three Danish riders: Magnus Cort, Andreas Kron, and Anthon Charmig.

Anthon Charmig's selection is particularly noteworthy. The climber recently secured the biggest win of his career, taking the second stage of the Tour Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes. Uno-X indicated that Charmig could fulfill various roles in the Tour, including participating in breakaway stages and serving as a lead-out rider, a role he executed effectively for Magnus Cort in the Volta a Catalunya earlier this year.

Magnus Cort is set to make his eighth appearance in the Tour de France, aiming for a third stage victory. The experienced rider had a challenging Tour last year, struggling with form despite finishing the race. Andreas Kron will be participating in his second Tour de France, having achieved a fourth-place stage finish in 2022.

The Uno-X team also includes Tobias Halland Johannessen, who is considered their general classification contender and is targeted for a top-5 finish. The rest of the squad comprises Anders Skaarseth, Torstein Træen, Jonas Abrahamsen, and sprinter Søren Wærenskjold. The team expressed hopes that Johannessen could replicate his sixth-place finish from the previous year.
