Three Drug Traffickers Arrested for Killing Indonesian Police Officers in Central Kalimantan

Indonesian police have arrested three suspected drug traffickers in Central Kalimantan who are accused of killing three police officers during a raid. The arrests were made in Tumbang Kalemei village, Katingan.

The suspects, identified as BIO, PERIE, and Ramblan alias BUSU, were captured by a joint team from the National Police's Directorate of Narcotics Crimes. They are alleged to have attacked and killed three members of the Katingan Resort Police's Narcotics Investigation Unit during an operation to raid their drug den on July 1, 2026.

The suspects, named BIO, PERIE, and Ramblan alias BUSU, have been successfully apprehended by the Joint Team of Sub-Directorate IV and Task Force NIC of the Directorate of Narcotics Crimes Bareskrim Polri.

According to reports, the police team of 12 officers was investigating methamphetamine trafficking when they identified BIO, a repeat offender. During the attempted arrest, the situation escalated into armed resistance. The suspects and a group of residents reportedly attacked the officers with sharp weapons, homemade firearms, and other dangerous objects. One officer was found dead at the scene, while two others were discovered deceased in a nearby river after going missing.
