Three ESUT law students suspended over exam malpractice

The management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology has suspended three law undergraduates for two academic years over examination malpractice. The university Registrar, Ambrose Ugwu, issued memos on Monday stating the suspension takes effect from June 25, 2026, and will conclude on June 24, 2028.

The affected students, two males and one female, are Isong Ugwu, Gad Nwosu, and Roseline Nnamani. University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Aloysius-Michaels Okolie approved the recommendations of the Senate Examinations Malpractice Committee. The suspended students must return university property and vacate the campus immediately. Their sponsors and the National Universities Commission have been notified.

Upon completion of their suspension in June 2028, the students will need to reapply for readmission. In a separate decision, another law student, Goodluck Iwuamadi, was exonerated from examination malpractice allegations based on the committee's findings.
