Three Hard Drug Dealers Arrested in Cirebon, Thousands of Tramadol and Trihexyphenidyl Pills Seized

Police in Cirebon, West Java, have arrested three individuals in connection with the distribution of illegal hard drugs, seizing thousands of pills in the process. The operation targeted suspects in the Arjawinangun and Susukan districts.

The crackdown began on Monday with the arrest of a 35-year-old suspect, identified as T, in Arjawinangun. During a search of his residence, police discovered dozens of Tramadol and Trihexyphenidyl pills, along with cash from sales. T reportedly identified another individual, S, as his supplier, who is currently being sought by authorities.

Later that day, police apprehended a second suspect, MF, 27, at a motorcycle repair shop in Arjawinangun. He was found with dozens of Tramadol pills, cash, a wallet, and a mobile phone. MF stated that he obtained the drugs from a major supplier in Susukan, identified as A.

Acting on this information, police moved to Susukan and arrested A at his home, uncovering a large storage facility. Authorities seized a substantial amount of illegal medication: 4,820 Tramadol pills and 2,037 Trihexyphenidyl pills, which were hidden in backpacks. A admitted that the thousands of pills were supplied by a dealer who is now being pursued by the police.

Cirebon Police Chief Kombes Pol Imara Utama emphasized the operation's significance in disrupting the supply of illegal drugs targeting the community and youth. "This simultaneous operation and measured development proves that Cirebon Police will not give even a sliver of room to illegal hard drug traffickers," Imara stated. "We will continue to hunt down the suppliers and dealers above them to their roots to maintain the security of the Cirebon Regency."

The three suspects and the confiscated evidence, including 4,893 Tramadol pills, 2,071 Trihexyphenidyl pills, sales proceeds, and communication devices, have been secured at the Cirebon Police headquarters. They face charges under Indonesian Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health, as amended by Law No. 1 of 2026, with potential maximum prison sentences of 12 years.
