Toliopoulos Returns to Aris: Official Announcement of the 'Yellow-Blacks'' Major Signing

Vasilis Toliopoulos is officially a new acquisition for Aris Thessaloniki, with the club announcing the Greek guard's return to the city and concluding a transfer saga that captivated Greek basketball.

The international player arrived in Thessaloniki on Thursday and successfully completed his medical and ergometric examinations the following day. Final procedural details were then settled, allowing Aris to officially announce the agreement.

Panathinaikos was informed of the transfer's progress, and the agreed-upon buyout was paid, clearing the path for Toliopoulos's return to the "Nick Galis Hall." The 29-year-old guard returns to a court where he delivered some of the best performances of his career, aiming to become a key component of the "yellow-blacks'" new strategic plan.

Aris BC announced the signing of Vasilis Toliopoulos until 2030, via a transfer from Panathinaikos AKTOR. Toliopoulos, born June 15, 1996, and standing 1.88m tall, plays guard positions. He returns "home" after a break of just one year.

He first wore the Aris jersey in mid-2018-19 season and then, from 2022 to 2025, he made his mark on the team, experiencing unique moments and securing significant victories. This will be his third tenure with Aris, with a four-year horizon.
