Tolobai uulu Ilgiz Appointed Vice President of International Kok-Boru Federation

Tolobai uulu Ilgiz has been appointed Vice President of the International Kok-Boru Federation, tasked with coordinating the development and popularization of the national sport. His role will also involve facilitating international projects and strengthening cooperation among various organizations.

Born in the Chatkal district of Jalal-Abad region on June 29, 1992, Ilgiz is pursuing a law degree at the International University of Jalal-Abad region, having previously studied at the Ishenaly Arabaev Kyrgyz State University. His engagement with kok-boru began in 2021 when he organized the participation of a district team in a national tournament.

Ilgiz quickly rose through the ranks, becoming head of the Chatkal district team. He was elected deputy head of the Kok-Boru Federation of Jalal-Abad region in 2022 and assumed its leadership in 2023. During his tenure, he successfully organized the annual Victory Cup tournament and a large-scale tournament in memory of Moldomusa Kongantiev, which included 37 teams.

Furthermore, under Ilgiz's initiative, the Zhashtyk team was revived. The team won the Nooruz tournament in the First League in 2023, earning promotion to the Major League. His appointment signifies a focus on expanding the reach and development of kok-boru internationally.
