Tom Cruise nears return for 'Days of Thunder' sequel

Tom Cruise is poised to reprise his iconic role as Cole Trickle in a sequel to the 1990 racing drama "Days of Thunder." Paramount Pictures is actively developing the project, with director Joseph Kosinski reportedly in final negotiations to take the helm.
