Indonesia's fight against corruption has taken a significant turn with the resignation of Febrie Adriansyah, the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office (AGO). Adriansyah's departure comes as the National Police's Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor Polri) actively investigates allegations of corruption, money laundering, and bribery. Investigators reportedly searched at least 12 locations across Jakarta, South Tangerang, and Bogor Regency between July 8-9, 2026, as part of their probe.

Authorities plan to question Adriansyah as part of these investigations. Budi Hermanto, Head of Public Relations at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, indicated that the questioning would occur after the current evidence gathering and case review stages are completed.
