Torre Rise construction begins, set to be Latin America's tallest building

Monterrey is set to become Latin America's vertical architecture hub with the commencement of Torre Rise, a skyscraper projected to reach 484 meters. This structure will claim the title of the tallest building in the region upon its expected completion between late 2026 and early 2027. Situated in the Obispado neighborhood, the tower is poised to become a modern symbol for Mexico.

Beyond its regional dominance, Torre Rise ranks as the thirteenth tallest building globally. Its design includes a 408-meter habitable section topped by a 76-meter architectural spire. The complex encompasses 96 levels dedicated to mixed uses: 35 floors for offices, 22 for residences, ten for a luxury hotel, and four for commercial spaces, complemented by 14 parking levels, embodying a vertical city concept.

Engineered to withstand extreme weather and seismic activity, Torre Rise features a reinforced central core and a perimeter frame system. Its exterior boasts curved corners and a high-performance glass and aluminum facade for efficient thermal control. These engineering solutions are crucial for managing the dynamic pressures experienced at such heights.

The economic impact is substantial, with an investment exceeding $350 million. The construction phase has generated thousands of jobs, boosting sectors like logistics and engineering. The building also prioritizes user experience with a three-level SkyDeck 360° observation deck offering panoramic city and mountain views. It has also earned international sustainability certifications like LEED Silver, Green Globes, and WELL, and includes significant green and recreational spaces.
