Tottenham survives relegation scare with crucial win over Everton

Tottenham secured their Premier League status for another season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Everton on the final day of the campaign. The win ensured they finished 17th in the league, two points clear of the relegation zone.

The decisive goal came from Joao Palhinha in the first half. A corner kick from Mathys Tel found Palhinha at the far post, whose header struck the post before he calmly slotted the rebound into the net. This strike was enough to give Tottenham the lead at halftime.

Despite Everton seeing more of the ball in the second half, Tottenham's defense remained resolute, limiting the visitors' chances. Everton pushed for an equalizer, coming close in stoppage time, but Tottenham goalkeeper Antonín Kinský made a crucial save to deny Tyrique George.

The victory was vital for Tottenham, avoiding the drop into the Championship. Everton finished the season in 13th place with 49 points, while West Ham, who fell into the relegation zone, finished two points behind Tottenham.
