Tourism Board to run Information Desk to share updates on tourists

Nepal’s Tourism Board will establish an Information Desk to share updates about tourists missing or rescued after the Bhotekoshi flash flood on August 26.

The decision followed a joint meeting involving the Nepal Tourism Board, Tourist Police and tourism-sector organizations. The desk will provide information while efforts continue to locate missing tourists and support rescue operations.

Department Director General Ramkrishna Lamichhane said the arrangement would improve coordination and create an integrated information system for the search.
